I’m not one of these people that takes compliments well. I know I’m not the only person out there that goes red in the face (even metaphorically) when someone pays them a kindness.
Why is it that some people can absorb that compliment and carry on their day without the slightest bit of blush in their cheeks. While we, although feeling happy and appreciated, tend to go through a flash moment of cringe!?
We non-compliment proof individuals tend to be quite good with negative feedback we accept it, disagree or agree, then move on. Where as the compliment friendly members of our society tend to lean in the other direction and like to vehemently and vociferously disagree with negative input.
It’s an observation I’ve made daily in both social and professional circles. It would probably be part of the alpha / beta (type a / type b) personality breakdown that seems prevalent in sociological and psychological analyses…
And that’s my daily ramble!
Hey!
I just wanted to tell you that your photography is amazing! A talent I would dream of having… cherish it!
